Polytec is a global leader in high-tech solutions for research and industry. Based in Waldbronn, Germany, Polytec develops and sells high-precision optical measurement technology. To boost sales of these complex products, Polytec shifted more responsibility for revenue generation to the marketing team.

Optimizing campaigns and improving lead quality
First, we conducted a thorough audit of the existing marketing campaigns. This allowed us to identify specific growth levers and compare them against relevant industry benchmarks. Based on the results, we optimized channel selection and marketing operations to ensure maximum efficiency.
We also revised the advertising materials to optimally appeal to the target group and ensured that conversion tracking functioned flawlessly. These targeted adjustments quickly led to a significant increase in leads and a clear reduction in cost per lead.
To maintain high-quality leads, we implemented an internal scoring methodology in HubSpot in close coordination with Polytec's sales team. This enabled us to optimize budget allocation and create more precise revenue forecasts that considered factors beyond lead quantity.
Additionally, using various lead formats, such as white papers and webinars, enabled us to cover the entire marketing funnel. This allowed us to engage potential customers effectively at every stage of their journey.

A measurable impact on sales and efficiency
The purchasing process for Polytec's advanced measurement technology solutions is complex and typically takes at least a year, so the effects of marketing only become apparent over time. After nearly three years of successful collaboration, however, we observed a clear, measurable impact on revenue.
The leads we generated contributed significantly to total revenue in 2023 and 2024. Their contribution doubled from approximately 21% in the first year to 43% the following year. Thus, we have successfully established a robust lead generation system that drives revenue.
